Topological Phase Transitions in Continuous-Time Neural ODE Systems

Journal of Machine Learning Research (JMLR), Vol. 26 • Citations: 218 • Authors: M. Vance, K. Tanaka, S. Al-Mansoor

We characterize the invariant manifolds of high-dimensional neural ordinary differential equations under bounded perturbation, demonstrating how topological phase transitions govern out-of-distribution stability in deep continuous-depth architectures.

Dr. Elena Rostova is a principal research scientist at the Institute for Advanced Cybernetics in Zurich. Her laboratory investigates the theoretical foundations of autonomous systems, algorithmic game theory, and topological dynamics in machine learning representations.

Prior to her appointment at the Institute, she conducted postdoctoral research in the Center for Mathematics of Information at Caltech and served as an advisory scientist to international consortia establishing verification protocols for high-reliability automated systems.
